UPDATE: Säkularen Aktivisten in Iran droht Todesstrafe!

Seitdem schwebt Sina Dehghan in größter Gefahr.

Mohammad Nouri (محمد نوری) wurde bereits zum Tode verurteilt wegen Prophetenbeleidigung (سب النبي, sabb an-nabī. Sabbo al-Nabi).

Twenty-Year Old On Death Row After “Confessing” on Promise of Freedom

(Death Sentence for Posting “Anti-Islamic” Content on Social Media.)

Sina Dehghan [سینا دهقان] was just 19-years-old when the Revolutionary Guards told him, while they were interrogating him, that if he confessed to the charge of “insulting” the Prophet Mohammad and signed a letter of repentance, he would be set free. Now he’s on death row while being represented by an appointed public defender and his only hope is an acquittal by Iran’s highest court. […]

“Last year, when Sina was 19 and serving in the military, for three days he started a campaign on the LINE social network and apparently some things were posted against Islam and the Quran,” added the source. “But after he was arrested, he said he had made a mistake and repented. Everybody in the world makes mistakes. He did something wrong, but he was only 19. There’s a limit to punishment. A mistake does not deserve the death sentence.”

Now 20 years old, Dehghan was arrested on October 21, 2015 at a military barracks in Tehran, where he lives, by the Revolutionary Guards and sentenced to death for “insulting the Prophet” and 16 months in prison for “insulting the supreme leader” by Branch 1 of the Criminal Court in Arak. He and his co-defendants, Sahar Eliasi [سحر الیاسی. Sahar Elyasi] and Mohammad Nouri [محمد نوری], were accused of posting anti-Islamic content on social media.

Eliasi’s seven-year prison sentence was reduced to three years on appeal. But the Appeals Court upheld the death sentences against Dehghan and Nouri and now both men are awaiting a final ruling by the Supreme Court.

Held in Arak Central Prison in a ward with dangerous criminals, Dehghan […]

Iran: Death sentence for a Christian convert

A 22-year-old new Christian believer, Sina Dehghan, who is convicted of starting teachers protest campaign and blasphemy through his writings on LINE and Instagram has been sentenced to death by execution. […] VOCIR said, according to one of the Christian activists, “Sina Dehghan, a Christian convert, who is now serving his sentence in Arak Central detention was charged on conducting teachers protest campaign and blasphemy through writings on LINE and Instagram, is sentenced to death by execution.” [Ebenfalls angeklagt worden war Frau] Sahar Elyasi [سحر الیاسی. Sahar Eliasi] facing similar charges is a soccer coach [Fußballtrainerin] who was convicted of several charges as participating in the teachers protest campaign on March 2014, membership in the protest campaign, and writing critical articles on LINE is sentenced to six years in prison. In recent years, many people for criticizing the corruption and crimes of the Iranian clergymen have been persecuted on the charge of blasphemy.

Accourding to an informed source, Sina Dehghan has undertaken all the charges in the hope of having the other convicts as Sahar Elyasi released. […]

These three were arrested on October, 2015 in Tehran, Iran, and were imprisoned in Arak detention. The court decision was declared to them by the Revolutionary Court of Arak on May, 2016.

Zum Begriff Sabbo al-Nabi (سب النبي, sabb an-nabī), Beleidigung des Propheten

http://www.amnesty.de/urgent-action/ua-298-2014/todesurteil-wegen-beleidigung-des-propheten

Blasphemy by insulting a prophet (sabb-al-nabi) is another serious offence in the Islamic Shari’a, incurring the death penalty for the perpetrator. […] According to Article 260 of the new Penal Code, any person insults the Prophet of Islam or other Great Prophets shall be considered as sābb-al-nabi and punished by death.

http://end-blasphemy-laws.org/countries/middle-east-and-north-africa/iran/

According to Article 262 of the revised Islamic Penal Code, which entered into force in 2013, “anyone who curses the Prophet of Islam or other Prophets or accuses them of adultery is (considered) sabbo al-nabi and will be sentenced to death”. However, Article 263 stipulates that an accused would not be sentenced to death if he or she claims that their statement was made under duress [Zwang; Nötigung], as a result of negligence [Fahrlässigkeit; Unachtsamkeit], or in a state of intoxication [Trunkenheit bzw. Drogenrausch].
